I have been teaching Chinese for more than ten years. I began learning Chinese when I was in college, first at SUNY Albany, and later at the Mandarin Training Center of National Taiwan Normal University and at Peking University. I truly enjoy learning and exploring the Chinese language with young children. My goal is to help children develop a love for Chinese language and culture through engaging, age-appropriate, and enjoyable activities. I have lived in Syracuse for 20 years and have been teaching Chinese for more than 10 years. Throughout my career, I have been committed to helping students build a strong foundation in Chinese language learning. I enjoy working closely with students and parents to create a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment. I earned my bachelor\u2019s degree in Chemical Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China and my Ph.D. from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. My family moved to Syracuse in 2018, and I currently work at INFICON, where I am involved in instrument research and development. I am the father of a son and a daughter, and my daughter is currently a preschool student at Syracuse Chinese School.I am grateful for the opportunity to teach Chinese at the school. I hold a Senior High School Chinese Language Teaching Certificate and am the mother of three children. I believe that language learning is more than acquiring knowledge\u2014it is a way to connect hearts and minds. In my teaching, I encourage curiosity, creativity, and focused learning while helping students discover the beauty of the Chinese language and culture through stories and exploration. Although I did not begin my career in education after graduation, I worked in the IT industry in Japan for several years. In 2011, I moved to the United States with my husband, and we have a son and a daughter. As a parent, I understand the challenges children face when learning Chinese overseas. I hope to contribute my efforts to creating a joyful and encouraging environment where children can learn Chinese happily. As a parent, I hope my child can grow up in an environment rich in Chinese language and culture. Therefore, I am very happy to have the opportunity to be a teacher at Chinese school. While helping children learn Chinese, I am also learning how to communicate with them more effectively and create a relaxed, joyful, and engaging learning environment. In addition, I volunteer with a local animal rescue organization and Habitat for Humanity. In my free time, I enjoy crafting, walking my dog, and spending time outdoors with my child. Using regular script and classical poetry, I guide children to appreciate the beauty of Chinese characters, brushstrokes, and traditional culture. He completed his undergraduate studies at Tianjin University of Sport, where he received formal training in traditional Chinese martial arts, including the Simplified 24-Form Tai Chi and Changquan. Since 2011, Dr. Wang has taught Tai Chi in both general physical education and university elective courses at Shanxi Medical University, Louisiana State University, and Western Illinois University. I have been teaching Chinese for more than ten years.
