      The CNY Chinese School was a place where I met many new friends and made a lot of memories. I used to cry on Sunday mornings before I went, but when I was there I was only sometimes miserable. I did really bad on my \u542c\u5199 and I’m surprised I wasn’t held back a grade. I remember buying tennis balls once from the school store with my \u94b1. Even though I wasn’t happy at the time, I still learned a lot of Chinese and met a new community.<\/div>

      I wish I studied harder and spent longer in CNY Chinese School because now I meet people in college who speak Chinese and my Chinese sucks and I embarrass myself lol. Thank you to all my teachers at CNY though because I developed a strong foundation and basics that I will never forget,\u00a0plus an understanding of Chinese folk tales and history. Even if I wasn’t the best student, the teachers were always passionate and engaging. Big thanks to Chen-Laoshi who reminded me to always smile, in dance and in life!<\/div>
